This Being Human
I am the writer who uses my heart and intuition to help people connect with their own inner wisdom.
I have struggled to identify as a writer, even though I’ve written weekly for work over the last two years. It wasn’t until I had a recent coaching session that I realized I didn’t identify as a writer because I wasn’t writing in the way I had wanted to - from my heart. Most of the writing I’ve done has been for work or school. It has been academic or technical (i.e., grant writing) in nature. I want the writing I engage in here to be from the heart, from my experiences and insights as I walk along in this life. About ten years ago, I was introduced to Rumi’s poem “Two Kinds of Intelligence.” It struck me deeply the first time I heard it, and continues to do so today.
I am committed to writing and publishing once a week this year. This will include weekly musings about the human experience and a guided meditation related to the topic. I hope this serves as a reminder, affirmation, and inspiration for the many facets of human experience.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you find these musings and meditations meaningful to your growth and development as you walk through your life.
